Did you know Roundup, the weedkiller has been linked to cancer? 
Watch live San Francisco court verdict that ordered Monsanto to pay $289.2 million to former school groundskeeper Dewayne Johnson, currently dying of cancer (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma), because Roundup had contributed to his disease. 
More and more animal and epidemiology studies published in the last few decades pointed to the need for a fresh look at glyphosate toxicity. There are studies after studies from all around the world linking glyphosate to all sorts of diseases and even cancer. Let's not forget that glyphosate-containing herbicides often contaminate drinking water sources, precipitation, and even air.
Apparently, glyphosate and its metabolites are widely present in the global soybean supply; It is important to note that over the years, regulators have dramatically increased glyphosate tolerance levels in maize, oilseed (soybeans and canola), and alfalfa crops and related livestock feed.
One would wonder if the fact that glyphosate is used in "ripening" the sugar cane in Central America, would be the real reason behind the rampant cancer development while on a sugar-rich diet. 
I found it interesting that scientists found that fish exposed to glyphosate developed gut dysbiosis and Celiac-like symptoms. It is ell known, glyphosate is known to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes, which characterizes Celiac disease as well.  The cytochrome P450 enzymes that are involved with detoxifying environmental toxins, activating vitamin D3, catabolizing vitamin A, and maintaining bile acid production and sulfate supplies to the gut. Deficiencies in iron, cobalt, molybdenum, copper and other rare metals associated with celiac disease can be attributed to glyphosate's strong ability to chelate these elements. Deficiencies in tryptophan, tyrosine, methionine, and selenomethionine associated with celiac disease match glyphosate's known depletion of these amino acids. 
Celiac disease patients have an increased risk to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which has also been implicated in glyphosate exposure. Reproductive issues associated with celiac diseases, such as infertility, miscarriages, and birth defects, can also be explained by glyphosate. The amount of research linking glyphosate to all kind of conditions is substantial but it is still not enough to prompt the regulators to change the law to protect people like the former school groundskeeper Dewayne Johnson and us.
The first step happened in 2015 when the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) concluded in March 2015 that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the Roundup it is probably carcinogenic. 
Today, the San Francisco Court decision is probably one of the most significant verdicts reached in our lifetime, to protect us, the people.
